And it's all done! Having second breakfast at the hospital cafe before going home! Sense of humour still intact. 😂😍
7am check in at the hospital - today I'm having an operation on my arm to decompress the ulnar nerve so no more burning and tingling in my fingers and side of my hand! Will take a while to redevelop the strength in my hand but that's how nerves go. Hopefullythe surgery will be unremarkable.
Hello World, today was Federal Election day in Australia, crossing 3 timezones. It looks like we have a change in government. I think the preferential system is a more intelligent system than first-past-the-post systems in UK and elsewhere.
I've been watching K-drama "Tomorrow" and episode 6 had me sobbing my heart out, partly because yesterday was ANZAC Day in Australia, the day we remember those men and women who served in the Australian Armed Forces in various theatres of war. This episode of "Tomorrow" made me think of the 17,808 Australians who fought alongside Koreans during the Korean War. I have one relative who fought in Korea and he came back a very changed man after witnessing horrendous incidents. Neither country should ever forget the 341 Australians who lost their lives defending what became South Korea.
9.45 pm and the gusts arrived & I just got the windows shut before the rain fell. Sydney storms are no joke, they can be highly destructive. Frightening but savagely beautiful at the same time esp when there is lightening.
Spent a pleasant late afternoon at Neutral Bay wharf watching the boats as the sun went down. Very peaceful as everyone was home. The weather was gorgeous today 24°C, just the way I like it. Sydney autumns are great.
